Our appreciation to Constant Contact for helping us stay in touch with the Sioux
Empire.
The Connecting Kids Initiative
Connecting Kids is an initiative supported by
the Sioux Empire United Way that will provide
information and financial resources for families
who may need assistance in getting their
kids involved. Local studies show that cost
and lack of awareness are reasons some
children aren’t able to join the numerous
activities available to them across the Sioux
Empire. Connecting Kids is designed to ensure
every child in Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook and Turner
Counties have the same
opportunity for getting involved in extra-curricular
activities.
Students in grades K-5 received their certificate
from their teachers during the month of January.
Students in grades 6-8 can receive a certificate by
asking for one in their school's main office.
Certificates are also available by calling 336-2095
or emailing
United Way.
Listed below are the agencies available to youth across the Sioux
Empire. All of these agencies will be participating in the Connecting Kids
Initiative. Please contact the agency directly for more information
about their specific activities.
